FORT COLLINS — Colorado State’s volleyball team was ranked 21st in the final poll issued by the AVCA on Monday, marking the fifth time in six years the Rams have made the final top 25.

The Rams went 28-2 in winning the Mountain West, reaching a season-best ranking of No. 9 on Oct. 28 and remaining in the top 10 the next five weeks. The team won its first 27 games of the season before losing to San Diego State at Moby Arena in the second-to-last match of the regular season.

The Rams have been ranked in 248 of 462 polls, the 15th best total in the nation. The program also finished the season with an RPI of 23rd, their best since 2010. The Rams were also one of two teams nationally — Stanford being the other — to finish in the top 15 of the country in hitting percentage (.299), kills per set (14.44) and blocks (2.84).

The program also established an attendance record this season, drawing 3,283 fans to Moby, a number that was seventh-best in the country.
