Snider, Reynolds representing CSU in international play

By Matt L. Stephens

A pair of CSU seniors will help represent the Mountain West in international volleyball competition this summer.

The conference announced Tuesday morning its 12-player roster for the 2014 Mountain West Global Challenge and selected were Colorado State University outside hitter Marlee Reynolds and middle blocker Kelsey Snider. They'll spend July 8-19 in Europe, training for two days in Venice, Italy, before competing in Pula, Croatia.

Opponents for the Mountain West include junior national teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Russia, Hungary and the Czech Republic and club programs out of Italy, Serbia, Romania and Austria.

The team will be coached by San Diego State's Deitre Collins-Parker.

This summer will be the second consecutive for Snider, a 2013 all-conference selection, to take her game overseas, previously heading to China.

Snider, a graduate of Pomona High School in Arvada, finished second for the Rams in kills (281) and blocks (112) last season. Reynolds led CSU with 333 kills.
