Colorado State’s Culbert, Foss earn regional awards

CSU volleyball’s Adrianna Culbert and Deedra Foss were named to AVCA’s All-Region teams Tuesday.

The two players are first-team in the Pacific North Region.

Foss, a senior setter, is third in the nation with 11.74 assists per set and helps run a Colorado State University offense that ranks eighth in the nation with a .283 hitting percentage.

Culbert, a junior opposite hitter, is one of CSU’s most versatile players. She averages 2.44 kills per set and is second on the team with 340 digs.

There are 14 players on the All-Region team. It’s the second season in a row for Culbert and Foss to earn All-Region honors.

CSU is in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament and will face No. 2 Texas at 3 p.m. Friday at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis. The game will be streamed online at ESPN3.com.

There will be a send-off pep rally for the team at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday as the team leaves for Minnesota. Fans are encouraged to line up on the southwest ramp of Moby Arena as the team boards the bus.
