Routt County - Local Food Economy Survey
As support for local food continues to grow, new issues arise that communities must consider, including, but not limited to, how to best support the development of the local food economy while still addressing issues related to public health, the environment, fairness, and long-term sustainability. In order to help our communities address these issues in a more productive manner, Extension Agents working with Colorado State University are in the process of developing a process to engage our community in this issue. Eventually, we hope to run a number of public forums to help interested parties discuss this issue and work through its inherent challenges, but to support that process we have first developed a survey to get a better sense of the potential issues involved with this subject.
