Are you interested in gaining hands-on research experience to explore how scientific studies are conducted? Want to learn more about emotions, social relationships, health, lifespan development, and/or aging? If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider joining the Health, Emotion, and Aging Research Team as a research assistant!

As a HEART research assistant, you will earn research course credits, gain valuable research experience and skills, and be an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative team. You can also earn a letter of recommendation from Dr. Luong for graduate school and job applications.

We are looking for qualified undergraduates to join our team (4 positions open)! Primary duties involve data collection (interviewing research participants, collecting lab data), entering data, and recruiting research participants in the community (e.g., older adults). Other duties may involve data coding and analysis, literature reviews, and contacting community collaborators on projects. We have biweekly lab meetings to discuss the research projects.

Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be willing to commit to at least 2 semesters in the lab. Students should sign up for at least 3 credits (9 lab hours/week)
